“Backseat Education” is the first album of the french group High-School Motherfuckers. The style of the group is a mix of punk and rock’n’roll. The influences of High-School Motherfuckers can be taken with groups such as the Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols or nearer the Backyard Babies or even Hardcore Superstar. From the beginning to the end the tracks are direct, efficient and energetic. Of course nothing new can be found in this « Backseat Education » but the group shares with us its energy through its tracks with rather catchy melodies. The riffs are efficient and lively and the soli are rather good like the one of « Celebrity Trash » or « Jekyll & Hyde » and the rhythmic section efficient and rhythm well the tracks. Stuffy’s vocals are well at place, well in the punk spirit. It is an album where are perfectly linked the tracks one after another one, with the same efficiency and let us no respite. Here there no lie on the merchandise, it is announce punk rock and we have efficient punk rock and if you like the style you won’t be insensible to this « Backseat Education ».
