“Rex Mundi X-Ile" is the third album from the Italian Ensoph. The style of the group could be described as being futurist, alternative, even progressive with elements of industrial, gothic and black metal. Sometimes the music is more a mix of noises and sometimes you’ll have nice melodic part thanks to the keyboards. You will find an Alice In Chains’s cover (“Would”) which is rather different than the original. Ensoph’s voice is rather varied, sometimes clear, rasp, black metal…
You must be open-minded to listen to this album which will not be particularly catchy to a metal-head.
