After an album “The Beast Must Die” released in 2007, The Bottle Doom Lazy Band comes back this year with a new album « Blood For The Boodking ». the style of the French group is a mix of funeral doom metal and sludge which take their influences in the 70s groups such as Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard… Slow, heavy, oppressive and powerful, so is the doom of the group. The tracks are slow, with a very present bass and drums which rhythm heavily, slowly these ones. The style is direct, without any flourish, classic with oppressive passages as they are so slow and heavy at extreme. The guitars are powerful and slow with a saturated sound, sometimes at extreme. The bells are here to remind us the funeral side of their music but we also have the bagpipe already present in the first album on « L’Ankou –Twisted Song » with a hurdy-gurdy, which gives a somehow folk ambience. We also find a little piano.
