“Art And Accidents” from the Norwegian group Magenta is an album where are mixed with coherence gothic rock to electro to wave and still other styles. The album is the fourth one of the group. The tracks are relatively dark as a whole. « Darkest Dream » is a track which is rather electro with riffs here and there where Vilde Lockert comes naturally on it. The second track « Untouchable », « warmest » with a superb refrain where Vilde is accompanied with a children choir … a refrain that you can sing easily and it is very certainly the song that you remember the most … superb melody and superb refrain, with good orchestrations. « To Die For » has more guitars, is more is a gothic style, and we have as a guest Gothminister. The two voices, one dark and deep and the other one more ethereal go perfectly together. Is following a dark song « Black Tomorrow » where we can find good guitars playings, « The One » where electro goes back in the front of the scene. « Fallen Angel » is a good compromise between electro and heavy and powerful guitars. Vilde Lockert vocals are well at place and perfectly in phase with the songs, very nice voice. Guests are presents, that is to say, Gothminister, Jonas Groth and Stumanx from Gluecider and Angel and Geir from Apoptygma Berserk.
At the end « Art And Accidents » is a good album that you’ll take pleasure to listen.
