Witchfield is the new project from the Death SS former drummer, Thomas Hand Chaste and « Sleepless » and has been released some months ago. The style is a powerful doom metal which takes its sources in the 70s with a progressive even psychedelic side. The tracks have dark ambiences and atmospheres and the vocals go perfectly with the style. Come lyrics have been inspired by British writers or poets such as Shakespeare, Kingskey, Ferguson and Blake. The ambiences and the lyrics are unhealthy and all has been done to fell a certain sickness. The keyboards are sometimes very present and even add a darker touch. We find several guest such as Steve Sylvester (Death SS) on the Alice Cooper cover « Black Widow » or Clive Jones on « Void In My Life » and « Inquisitor ». In the veins of groups such as Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and Pentagram.
