AT WAR are no newcomers, they got formed in 1983 and today they've just released their new & second album "Infidel". With such a band name & album cover, no doubt on the musical content : Radical Thrash !!! You can easily imagine one doesn't talk about modern thrash or other extreme metal style... No, the stuff is definitely rooted in the 80's, their Thrash style is filled with dirty rock'n'roll touches à la Motörhead/early Venom (best examples are songs "At War", "Want You Dead") and even in the guitar solos, one can feel these influences ! Fast Eddie would for sure appreciate that one on "R.A.F." that could have appeared on such a classic album as "OverKill" ! Rythmics are all like relentless attacks, AT WAR definitely takes no prisoner ! Some more old-school HardCore/Crossover touches here and there (fans of Nuclear Assault, Hirax or Crumbsuckers will have a blast !) and raw vocals that makes think of Cronos (Venom) and Max Cavalera (Sepultura - "Beneath..." era) make of "Infidel" a very honest album that will for sure be on the top of the CD pile of every true Thrash Maniac !
