More than 25 years of career and "The Dead Have Rizen" is only the second album of the American group Ripper!!! Black Widow had re-released the first one and the original member Rob Graves reformed the group in 2006 and record after this new album with new members. The style of the group is of course heavy metal from the 80s, classic, with the theme of death and horror for the lyrics of the songs. I find the album not much varied as a whole … too much monotonous, and it is too bad because the group has surely a certain potential !!! . Sometimes you can approach the style of the voice of the vocalist to the one of Peter Steele (Type O’Negative). You will find a Kiss cover “God Of Thunder” without any surprise with it. Hope Ripper won’t wait so long to release another album !!!
