“Black Sails At Midnight” is the second album from the Scottish group Alestorm. The group says that it plays Scottish pirate metal. The songs are lively, most of them epic and catchy as a whole except the ballad “To The End Of Our Days”. It is nice to listen but that does not go far from that, at least for me. If the guitars are present in the tracks, the keyboards have also their place in the songs as well as folk instruments and accordion. The lyrics are of course dealing with pirates, tales on the sea and so on… For the fans of the folk/Viking style with a beer in a hand !!!
