“The Edge of Horizon” is the first album released last year by the Austrian group Desert Sin (former known as Sick-U-R). The style of it is melodic heavy power metal with some progressive influences. All the songs are melodic, rather dark with well present guitars and just of what is needed of keyboards. The titles are worked and some of the melodies stay in your mind rather easily because they are catchy. If the songs are much worked and well done, the vocalist is also very good, he has a powerful and deep voice, pleasant to listen to. It is clear that Desert Sin has a certain musical potential which just need to be develop, so let’s wait the other albums.
