You thought LONEWOLF dead & buried ? Ok, since the two first albums (2001, 2003) not much happened from their camp, apart from that “Hellenic Warriors” EP (2004 released as a tribute to the greek fans for their incredible welcome when they played in Athens in 2003… but since… really nothing.. This period is now over, LONEWOLF are back in 2008 with a brand new album called “Made In hell” released thru the excellent greek label EAT METAL Records ! So what about LONEWOLF today ? Yep, nothing to fear, LONEWOLF haven’t lost their rage & power, this is really a “made in hell” album – they just couldn’t find better title ! 10 songs in the veins of the best of German Heavy-Power Metal bands like RUNNING WILD, AVENGER, GRAVE DIGGER, but also with more traditional (but still) HEAVY touches à la IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, OMEN or still MANILLA ROAD for the epic touch ! 10 songs that are a real pleasure to listen to, 10 songs that are incredibly diversified & performed with class – a class that many bands dream for sure to achieve one day !!! The rhythmics are always powerful & efficient, the guitars perfectly combined, tempo-changes are numerous & always welcome, and the voice is really strong & powerful – Makes me think of German PARAGON or still IRONSWORD ! So in a word, LONEWOLF keep on on its way, don’t pretend bringing something new to the style but have definitely released a tremendous heavy-metal album ! To conclude… yep, really easy : If you don’t like LONEWOLF, you don’t like true Heavy-Metal !
