The Canadian group Valkyrie’s Cry released last year their self-named album. The style, heavy trash metal, comes right from the 80s as well as the production, which is not at the top !
Those who like the 80s sound will be pleased with this album. The vocalist has a good vocals range but he goes very often in the very, very high pitched notes and it is not always very pleasant at all. However the tracks are well done but for most of them too many alike, same rhythms, riffs…. I am sure the group is able to do better than that.
I don’t say that “Valkyrie’s Cry” is a bad album but I probably won’t listen to it again 'cos nothing catches me in this album.
