M & O Music

After several changing in the line up (to make it short) Ciguë comes back with its new album «Phobia». It follows an EP released in 2008 “Part One” and an album “Smallow”. The style of the group is a mix between electro/rock and Indus. “Phobia” is a powerful album to listen with maybe an electro side much more pronounced. The riffs are strong. The songs are strong and well composed with a modern sound. The production is excellent and gives well each instrument back. All is well at place even the vocals which are strong and powerful and go pretty well with the songs (even if I don’t like them particularly), given them more power. The album is energetic and there is a lot of changing in the rhythms. Personally I cannot demark one song rather than another one as they are good quality ones. On this album you’ll find piano and violin. You’ll just have to listen the beautiful melody of the song “Collapse” which ends the albums.
Ciguë is a group with a certain potential which should be wider along the years, even if now there still are some imperfections.
