Matt Crooks (former Division), guitar player and bassist, is at the initiative of this project. He has been surrounded by the former Yngwie Malmsteen drummer John Macaluso, Nick Van Dyn (Redemption) as keyboardist, and the vocalist Lars Larson from the group Manticora. The songs are heavy with strong, powerful and heavy riffs and a heavy and powerful rhythmic section. Vocally speaking Lars has a powerful voice, well at place which goes perfectly with the style of the songs, giving them even more power. The songs are well structured with some complex arrangements and sometimes complex melodies. Can we say that the group plays power prog metal (if we do have to put a “label” on their music style? Yes I do think so.
I would approach the style of Fools Game to the one of Iced Earth or Blind Guardian. This group has a huge potential and is not to be missed if you like the style.
