"Landkjenning" is the third album from the folk metal group Glittertind. I admit that I did not know this group before reviewing this skud. “Landkjenning” which begins the album is a lively and melodic track with male chorus; I really like the melody of this one. The second songs “Nordafjells” is a mid tempo song with melodic guitars, and a nice refrain. The title “Glittertind” sounds more modern than the rest of the album. The vocalist has a pleasant voice which perfectly goes which the songs and the style of the group.
This album “Landkjenning” is very rich musically speaking and has a little “different view” of the folk metal. Sure you’ll find metal instruments, traditional folk instruments (strings, flutes, accordion, but the songs sound “lighter” than usual. This is a good, well balanced and solid album.
