“Three Fact Fader” is the second album from the British group Engineers. The word which would describe the much the style is, it seems, “dream pop” in the Sigur Ros or My Bloody Valentine manner or alternative/progressive rock. “Dreampop”, all is in this word, the music is airy, evocative, more or less violent, and the melodies are strange and soft even melancholic. The keyboards are playing nice layers
The group is composed of Simon Phipps on vocals and guitars, Mark Peters on vocals, guitars and bass, Dan MacBean on guitars and keyboards and Andrew Sweeney on drums. The voice is soft, delicate, and nearly monotonous on some songs.
The compositions are well done avec the musicians control their instruments. It’s an album nice to listen without being original even if some songs have some progressive or alternative passages.
