“Alhambra” is the second album from the Spanish group Taifa. In this album you will find rock/metal songs mix to oriental, Andalusia and flamenco parts which make the music unique and different. The group is using real instrument which are coming from Maghreb, Spain such as flamenco guitars, Andalusia violin, etc… aside metal instruments but also piano.
The lyrics are in Spanish. The guitars are giving nice and well done soli. Sometimes the music has complex arrangements and other times more simple ones. In the same songs you’ll have folk and metal instruments which are playing their own parts. The songs are varied and you won’t get bored when listening this album.
The songs are full of feelings especially the ones which are using violin or have a flamenco sound. Beside the folk side is reinforced by the manner of singing of the vocalist which is nearly typical of the flamenco voice.
If you like to listen to something different, “Alhambra” won’t deceive you because you will travel with it.
