“By The Northern Light Star” is the last album from Tyr. The style of the group is Viking/folk/pagan metal. The group is inspired by the Viking legends. Each song has lively refrains and good melodies. The singer has a strong, clean voice in the songs as he’s charismatic; he has a strong and powerful voice witch perfectly goes with the style of the song of de group. The compositions are epic for most of them. Along the album the group interests us by playing lively and epic songs.
We enter into right into their world with the first song “Hold The Heathen Hammer High” with superb melodies, and great catchy-along chorus, the same with “Nortern Star”. The musicians still possess as much as technique as in their previous album. The drums are preeminent in many of the songs. it is a very good album that give us these Faroese warriors, with Eric The Red at first.
