Selfproduction 2009
Akuma is a group which comes from Paris and the style it plays is death metal melodic teinted with electro elements. In 2008, Zuul FX comes and joints the group and last year the group decides to register “Under A Killing Moon”. The album begins with a dark an worrying intro but you really enter into the Akuma’s music with the next song “Perpetual Improvement”. The songs are dynamic and heavy with dynamic vocals, or screaming. Besides the voice that I do not appreciate the compositions have nice melodic parts. The riffs are heavy and know to be melodic when needed in the song. The rhythmic section is heavy and efficient. To be a self produced album, this one has the benefit of a good production. We’ll just have to wait what the group will be able to do in the future.
