Here’s the sixth album "Rubicon" from the symphonic/gothic group Tristania. The group has had a lot of line up changes. There does still have vocals duet with male and female vocals. The album is relatively well varied with nice songs such as “Patriot Games” with good vocals from Nordhus which are well mixed with the female ones. The new female vocalist has a less lyric voice and a more rock one. Some songs are very dark especially when it is Nordhus how is singing like in “Sirens”, because he has a dark and deep voice most of the time but he can go quite high when needed. He has a pleasant voice to listen. As well Mariangela has a nice voice which can go very high in the high pitched notes. “Amnesia” is full of feelings with violin and piano with the two voices, one of the best songs for me. So to be short a lot of styles for different songs that the fans of the group will like or not, even if there nothing original in the songs.
