Nuclear blast
“At The Edge Of Time” is the last album from the German power group Blind Guardian. I have to say that I like the album from the beginning to the end. The group has known to mix symphonic parts to heavy ones, and even thrash ones. Hansi still has his beautiful, strong and particular voice. The musicians are controlling their instruments. The compositions are solid and they are relatively long and they are well research musically speaking. The first song can be use as an intro and has a heroic side. “Curse My Name” has a little folk and medieval side and is one of the calmest songs of the album. Besides you’ll find a beautiful song “War Of The Thrones” with a nice melody at piano. In “A Voice In The Dark” you will have Hansi singing in a lot of ranges and you’ll find a good and cool riff. The song “Wheel Of Time” has an oriental side in the melodies. It is an epic song with great chorus. And I could describe each of the song but it is better for you to discover them by yourself.
