Orion’s Reign has released last year its album « Nuclear Winter ». The style of the Greek group is melodic heavy/power metal. The compositions are melodic and epic at the same time and have a symphonic side due to the keyboards. The vocalist has a strong voice but I think that he does not have the perfect voice to sing these songs. The songs are energetic as a whole. The songs have already been edited but you’ll have bonus tracks which include two orchestral versions of “Last Stand” and Siege Of Ruad”. The musicians are rather good and control perfectly their instruments, there’s only a problem with the voice, and at least I have a problem with the voice. Several guests appear on this album such as Bob Katsionis, Theodore Ziras, Yiannis Papadopoulos, among others. I cannot say that “Nuclear Winter” is a bad album because musically you’ll have beautiful layers done by the keyboards and the guitars which give strong riffs. Besides I’m sure the group will done better in the next future.
