Here comes back the Trans Siberian Orchestra with its new album “Beethoven’s Last Night”.
This entire album is dedicated to the Beethoven’s works and masterpieces. The style of this “Beethoven’s Last Night” is symphonic metal and those who like classic and symphonic music will recognize some parts of the tracks like the 11 track “Requiem (the Fifth)” or “Für elise” among others. If you know Beethoven as a composer, you know that his music is violent and passionate. Here the results of these feelings are given by the heavy and strong riffs of the guitars; the rhythmic section is powerful and dark as can be Beethoven’s music. The tracks are well linked to one another and show all the tragedy that has lived this musician. Even if it is a long album, it is really good to listen to it because the music, the voices of the vocalists bring you into the universe of the musician, a dark lively, passionate. The melodies are strong and beautiful and even the two ballads “A Last Illusion” and “This Is Who You Are” are dark and soft at the same time. The musicians and the vocalists are really good and you can see that they are really professional; they possess the technique and control their instruments and their voices.
I won’t review the whole songs as it would be too long but it is a great album to possess and if you like the Phantom Of The Opera you will like this “Beethoven’s Last Night”.
