Emerald is a melodic heavy power metal group coming from Switzerland. “Re-Forged” is their fifth album. Emerald has made some line up changes, the vocalist and second guitarist Jvo Julmy has been replaced by Thomas Winkler (T-Rage) on vocals. Not doubt that their influences are coming from groups such as Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, Edguy, among others. The compositions are strong, epic and well done. They are excellent on the vocals side as well as on musical one. The vocalist has a strong and powerful voice. The album is well varied, power metal, classic metal, you’ll find melodic parts and speed ones, etc. The album has the benefit of a good production.
