Arès is born from the Willer’s ashes in 2006, itself born from the Willpower’s ashes… But whatever the name the group has taken, the style always stays the same: hard rock and heavy metal. The Picard group is especially known to have been a cover group but the accent is from now on put on the compositions. Even if (with different names and different line ups) the group exists since 1995 it is its first demo.
Damien’s vocals are well at place and classic for this heavy metal style. His voice is powerful, melodic and rather high pitched. Whatever the lyrics in English or in French, they ar well interpreted by Damien.
The tracks are melodic with good musical lines but they have not exceptional, they are well structured.
The musicians are also good with a good guitars duo and a rhythmic section well at place and the bass is much present on the tracks. A good guitar solo is present in « Moonless Night » and it’s too bad that there is not more of them in this demo, because it is a side to explore, the group has a good twin guitars.
I hope that a second demo will follow this one because the group is well at place with a line up who seem now to be stable.

Line up:
Damien (vocals)
Stephane (guitars)
Christophe (guitars)
Daniel (bass)
Franck (drums)
