"Heliopause"is the second album from the French group Auspex. The style of the group is a mix of symphonic and progressive metal. The compositions are very good quality ones and for some of them rather original. The vocalist Elodie buchonnet doesn’t seem to “push” her voice, all is natural. She has a huge vocal range. The musicians possess a good technique but they don’t show it too much in the songs. The keyboards are given nice background layers and the guitars give sharp riffs. The compositions ally different kind of metal such as speed, progressive, slow ones, mid tempos. Besides choruses and varied accompaniments are present in their music. The style can be approach to Nightwish, Epica and such groups.
